Vehicle Strikes And Kills 64-Year-Old Woman On Elm Street

MANCHESTER, NH - Manchester Fire, police, and AMR ambulance responded to the area of 435 Elm Street Friday for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Personnel arrived at about 6:30 p.m. and found a 64-year-old woman who had suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Police say a 32-year-old woman was traveling in a southerly direction on Elm Street when she collided with the pedestrian who was in the roadway. The operator of the vehicle was uninjured in the crash and remained at the scene.

The identities of the pedestrian and the operator of the vehicle are not being released by authorities at this time.

Elm Street was closed for several hours between Auburn Street and Valley Street.

Manchester Police Lt Greg DiTullio said, “ The cause and totality of the crash are still under investigation by the Manchester Police Department Traffic Unit.”
