Thousands Enjoy The 21st Annual Cruising Downton Show On Elm Street

MANCHESTER, NH - Thousands of vehicles showed up as early as 3:00 a.m. for the 21st annual Cruising Downtown event on Elm Street that spanned from Bridge Street to Granite Street in downtown Manchester.

Tens of thousands of spectators came out to take a walk and view the collection ranging from hot rods to classic cars, muscle cars, motorcycles, race cars, and cars from the early 1900s through the modern day.

One might think the entirety of automobile history was right here in Manchester. For many people, it was a walk down memory lane as others dreamed of where the future of cars will end up. One of the cars came from Florida and another from Pennsylvania.

The thousands of cars paid the $25 registration fee for the event which benefits the Manchester Rotary. Attendees of the event were asked to make donations to the Manchester Rotary, but admission fees were all voluntary and every penny after expenses goes to the Manchester Rotary

The Manchester Rotary Club is an integral part of the Manchester community - its members are committed to “service above self.” Recently, with other local rotary clubs, members helped to fill up over 1,000 backpacks with school supplies for students. The Manchester Rotary directly benefits the local community - including the Boys & Girls Club, Easter Seals, and Child and Family Services.

A special muscle car rally with NH Muscle Car Club will take place on Bridge Street Bridge.

Food vendors scattered along Elm Street all had lines of customers lined up to purchase everything you could imagine.

Owners of the cars displayed told stories about their vehicles, and many displayed photographs of the restoration process. Some of the participants came from as far away as Pennsylvania.
