Suspect Arrested on Multiple Felony Charges
On February 2, 2022, Manchester Police arrested 27-year-old Nathan Laporte of Manchester on numerous felony charges related to stolen firearms and drugs.
On January 24, 2022, Manchester Police in the area of Wilson St and Spruce St pulled a truck over after observing several traffic violations.
While the officer stood by the vehicle to talk to the driver, he drove away. Police began to pursue the vehicle at a safe distance until they lost sight of it. The vehicle was later found, unoccupied, behind Yee Dynasty on S. Willow St. Through the investigation, police identified the driver as 27-year-old Nathan Laporte.
At a later date, the abandoned vehicle was searched and police found 2 firearms that were confirmed to be stolen out of Concord, as well as a large quantity of illegal drugs. Warrants were issued for Laporte’s arrest.
When members of the Special Enforcement Division attempted to take him into custody Wednesday (2/2) he barricaded himself inside 275 Cartier St. After several announcements over a loudspeaker and multiple negotiation attempts were made, Laporte finally surrendered to SWAT officers.
Laporte was charged with Armed Career Criminal, Felon in Possession of a Deadly Weapon (2 counts), Felonious Use of a Firearm, Receiving Stolen Property (2 counts), Possession with the Intent to Distribute, Disobeying a Police Officer, Falsifying Evidence, Reckless Conduct, and Violation of Bail Conditions.
A search warrant was obtained and executed at 275 Cartier St Apt 2. During the search, one rifle magazine was seized. The investigation continues.
