Something Is Brewing On Old Granite Street In Manchester, And It Isn’t Coffee
Updated: May 14
MANCHESTER, NH - A new beer brewery and restaurant is taking shape in Manchester at 72 Old Granite Street, next to the popular Hometown Coffee Roasters.
Pete Macone, formerly with Republic Cafe and Campo Enoteca Restaurants, has teamed up with Mike Brown of Hometown Coffee Roasters and will open Republic Brewing Company later this year.
The space, about 7,500 square feet, will feature six beers on tap, wine, and several farm-to-table, locally sourced food items. Some of the items will be familiar to customers who used to visit Republic Restaurant.
Last week, a tractor-trailer pulled up with brewing equipment that was unloaded by forklifts and placed into the locations where they will be used to begin the brewing process.
As the equipment was unloaded, Pete and Mike shot a video of the process, and the enthusiasm was evident.
There are over 100 breweries in New Hampshire, but the interest in craft beers and people establishing their favorite beverage continues growing.
