Man Taken Into Custody After Running From Police

On August 7, 2022, at approximately 7:45 pm, Manchester Police patrolling in the area of Union and Central Streets saw a man known to have an electronic bench warrant.

The officers made contact with the man, identified as 23-year-old Samuel Caraballo of Manchester. When they asked for his identification, Caraballo turned around and ran. Officers chased him down Lake Ave South back and through a laundromat parking lot before catching up to him. He was then taken into custody without further incident.

Caraballo was found to have a gun in his front pocket, as well as marijuana. He was also determined to be a convicted felon. Along with his bench warrant, Caraballo was charged with Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Drug, and Resisting Arrest. He was arraigned yesterday (8/8/2022) in Hillsborough Superior Court-North.
