Man Charged With False Police Report After Shooting Self-Inflicted Wound

On July 24, 2022, Manchester Police received a call from a man who reported being shot by an unknown male.

The caller told police he was in a parking lot near Elm and Lowell Streets when he got into a fight with another man. He reported that the other man pulled out a gun and shot him during the incident.

During the investigation, police determined that the man, identified as 35-year-old Tyson Morgan of Manchester, lied multiple times to police, and the gunshot was actually self-inflicted. Morgan was subsequently arrested and charged with False Police Report to Law Enforcement and Falsifying Physical Evidence.
