Man Arrested For Welcome Center Vandalism

Manchester Police have arrested a city man in connection with vandalism at the Welcome Center at 775 Elm St.

On December 23, 2022, Manchester Police received a report that a Welcome Center emergency call box and kiosk was damaged. Through the investigation, police obtained surveillance video from the morning of December 24, 2022. In the video, someone can be seen throwing a brick from a planter box through the glass screen of the kiosk and also at the call box. The damages were estimated at approximately $2000.

Police identified the suspect as 26-year-old Dean Shean of Manchester (homeless). On January 6, 2023, Shean was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief. He was released on PR bail.
