Man Arrested After Search Warrant Executed in Drug Investigation

In the early morning hours of October 5, 2023, the Manchester Police Special Enforcement Division and SWAT executed a search warrant at 330 Manchester Street Apartment 3F as a result of a drug investigation. Detectives had reason to believe Richard Potts, 56, was selling crack cocaine out of the apartment.

The search resulted in the arrest of Potts and the seizure of firearms and cash.

Potts was located at the residence and charged with Sale of a Controlled Drug-Crack Cocaine (MPD Warrant), Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (2), Fugitive of Justice (Underlying charge of Armed Robbery, Assault in a Dwelling while Armed, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (2) out of Middlesex Superior Court in Massachusetts).

Police located and seized a Kimber 45 caliber handgun and a Ruger 40 caliber handgun; both had a loaded magazine and chambered round. Nearly $5,000 in US Currency was also found.
