Man Arrested After Police Say He Was Threatening People In Restaurant

Manchester police responded to Mi Jalisco Mexican Grill and Cantina at 300 S. Willow St. on Sunday for an unwanted subject in the restaurant.

A caller told police there was a male inside the bar, flashing a handgun at other customers. A second caller reported that the individual had pointed the gun at her and she locked herself in the bathroom.

When police arrived at about 7:30 p.m., the officers entered the bar and saw a male meeting the description given by the callers. Police said the man’s hands were inside his pockets. The officer gave commands to take his hands out of his pockets and the male was not initially cooperative.

MPD Spokesperson Heather Hamel said the man was first taking his hands out of his pockets and immediately putting them back in. As police tried to take him into custody, he struggled with officers.

The man was identified as Justin Worster, 30, of Manchester. He was found to have a gun on him. Worster was arrested on criminal threatening with a firearm, disorderly conduct, reckless conduct, and resisting arrest charges.

Worster was arraigned in Hillsborough Superior Court North on Monday and ordered held on preventative detention.
