Man Arrested After Firing Gun and Causing Accident

On November 17, 2023 at approximately 1:30 AM, Manchester Police received calls about a stolen motorcycle and also shots fired in the area of Perimeter Rd and Brown Ave. Arriving officers located evidence of an accident and shell casings, but no one on scene.

Around the same time, Manchester Police were contacted by Londonderry Police, to assist with an accident involving a truck and motorcycle in their town. It was determined that the involved motorcycle had recently been stolen from a Manchester residence.

The motorcycle driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The other driver was identified as Juan Pacheco, 44 of Manchester. Pacheco was not injured and determined to be the registered owner of the stolen motorcycle.

Through the investigation police learned that Pacheco had witnessed his motorcycle being stolen from his driveway and followed the suspect in his truck. The investigation indicates that he hit the motorcycle near Perimeter Rd and Brown Ave, and fired several shots into the air.

The two vehicles continued into Londonderry where the two collided again.

A warrant was issued for Pacheco’s arrest and today (11/21/23) he turned himself into Manchester Police. Pacheco is charged with 2 counts of Reckless Conduct and Conduct After an Accident. Londonderry Police have charged Pacheco as well.
