Drive-By Shooting In Manchester Leaves Shell Casings In Alley

Manchester Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Lake Ave and Lincoln St on Thursday afternoon at about 4:45 p.m.

When responding officers arrived they located several shell casings in the alley known as "Lake Ave Southback”

The officers also located apparent bullet holes in a vehicle parked behind 312 Spruce Street.

Police blocked off a large area with crime scene tape and began to process the scene, and gather evidence. A witness told Manchester Information

that a black 4-runner type vehicle was traveling west in the alley when it stopped and fired seven to eight rounds of ammunition into a vehicle. The witness said the

vehicle then turned right and proceeded north on Lincoln Street.

Police didn’t provide any description other than the color of the vehicle in a press release, which they stated was black.

It does not appear any people were struck by the gunfire. A white vehicle, believed to be the one shot at was towed from the scene and brought to Manchester Police Headquarters for processing.
