Cruising Downtown: A Car Show With A Big Heart
Downtown Manchester already has a little bit of everything - but for one day each year it really has it all. On Saturday, September 3, thousands of cars will descend on Elm St. and the surrounding blocks for the 21st Annual Cruising Downtown.
From hot rods to classic cars, muscle cars to motorcycles, race cars, and cars from the early 1900s through the modern day - one might think the entirety of automobile history was right here in Manchester.
While attending to view the cars is completely donation-based, to show a car (or motorcycle!) it’s just $25 and every penny made benefits the Manchester Rotary Club.
The Manchester Rotary Club is an integral part of the Manchester community - its members are committed to “service above self.” Recently, with other local rotary clubs, members helped to fill up over 1,000 backpacks with school supplies for students.
Similarly, The proceeds of Cruising Downtown will directly benefit the local community - including the Boys & Girls Club, Easter Seals, and Child and Family Services.
With 1,000 - 1,500 cars and 30,000 - 40,000 people expected, it is likely to be one of the biggest downtown events this year - and a huge benefit for the Manchester Rotary Club
In addition to the cars and motorcycles, spectators can look forward to food vendors, enjoying the downtown bars and restaurants, live broadcasts from WZID and The Mill, and live music in the Brady Sullivan Plaza and Veteran’s Park. A special muscle car rally with NH Muscle Car Club will take place on Bridge Street Bridge.
